Who is Hubert Bernard.
Mr. Bernard was born in Jamaica, but relocated to England at a young age. in England he served his apprenticeship to become a welder and worked for welding engineering companies, Bristol Channel Dry Dock in Wales, and Baglan Bay Oil Refinery. In 1972 he was approached by a Canadian company to work in Canada. Mr. Bernard moved to the Great White North in December 1972 to the city of Brantford, Ontario. It was here where a co-worker introduced him to stained glass, which caught his interest right away and as he worked more with stained glass, he became more attached to this unique technique. He soon realized he had special talented gifts, color coordination and soldering abilities, which helped him master in a very short period of time this technique. Mr. Bernard can produce many different pieces but his favourite stained-glass items are Tiffany Lamps and Birds. He truly believes his talent shows more in the Tiffany Lamps and Birds, due to the detail that is required to complete these pieces. Stained-glass has taught him patience, helped him refine his color coordination, and developed in him a special sense of observation, but most importantly Mr. Bernard realized how much respect and love he has for glass.
